Gear conversion: questions and answers

Can I ride a geared bike if I did my CBT on an automatic?

Candidates completing CBT on an automatic machine are restricted to automatic motorcycles and scooters until they are trained and assessed as competent on a manual motorcycle by an authorised CBT instructor. The 3 hour gear conversion course does exactly that.
