Edinburgh Motorcycle Training has one training base, at 15 Clippens Yard, Straiton, EH20 9NS, 5 minutes from the A720 Edinburgh bypass and opposite Straiton retail park. Riders travel in from Edinburgh (about 7 miles), Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, the Borders, Fife and Glasgow (about 48 miles).
Where is the yard, and where do riders come from?
Every course starts from one yard at Straiton, on the south side of the A720 Edinburgh bypass. Tap a town for its distance, drive time and directions.

How far is the training yard from me?
Distances are road miles to the Straiton yard. Drive times are for normal traffic outside rush hour. Parking is available at the yard, and Straiton Park and Ride is a short walk away.

How do I find the yard?
Leave the A720 Edinburgh bypass at the Straiton junction and follow the A701. The yard is Yard 15 in the Clippens industrial estate, opposite Straiton retail park. Some sessions also use the large open training area at Straiton Park and Ride.
