Why do East Lothian riders train at Straiton?
Almost every East Lothian journey to the yard is the same shape: the A1, which is dual carriageway from Dunbar to the city, then west along the bypass to the Straiton junction. That makes travel times predictable even from the far end of the county.
The A1 in East Lothian is not a motorway, so once you have a CBT you can ride it on a 125cc with L-plates. Riders who want the coast roads and the Lammermuirs on a bigger bike go on to Direct Access.
