Where do Linlithgow riders do their motorcycle training?
Linlithgow sits on the M9, which joins the M8 and then the Edinburgh bypass, so the drive to the yard is motorway and dual carriageway almost all the way.
If you plan to commute into Edinburgh on a 125cc, remember that learner riders cannot use motorways. On a CBT certificate you would use A roads rather than the M9. A full licence through Direct Access removes that restriction.
How do I get to the training yard from Linlithgow?
From Linlithgow, take the M9 and M8 to Hermiston Gait, then the A720 bypass to Straiton. It is about 22 miles and takes about 30 minutes by car in normal traffic outside rush hour. The yard is Yard 15 in the Clippens industrial estate, opposite Straiton retail park, and there is parking on site.
Address: Edinburgh Motorcycle Training, 15 Clippens Yard, Straiton, EH20 9NS. Open in Google Maps.
Which places near Linlithgow is the yard also handy for?
The same journey works from Linlithgow Bridge, Philpstoun, Winchburgh, Torphichen and Blackness.
