Where do Biggar riders do their motorcycle training?
Biggar is in South Lanarkshire, but on the road map it faces Edinburgh. The A702 is a single, direct route with no motorway and no city driving, and it finishes on the Pentland side of the bypass, minutes from Straiton.
It is also a good road to learn. Once you have your CBT you can ride the A702 on a 125cc with L-plates, and with a full licence through Direct Access the Borders and the Pentland Hills are on your doorstep.
How do I get to the training yard from Biggar?
From Biggar, take the A702 north-east through Dolphinton, West Linton and Carlops to the Edinburgh bypass. It is about 25 miles and takes about 45 minutes by car in normal traffic outside rush hour. The yard is Yard 15 in the Clippens industrial estate, opposite Straiton retail park, and there is parking on site.

Which places near Biggar is the yard also handy for?
